Funimation Adds 3rd Sgt. Frog Anime Season

The North American anime distributor Funimation announced at Katsucon on Saturday that it licensed a third season of the Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunsō) television anime series. Funimation will begin releasing the new season this summer.
The North American anime distributor Funimation announced at Katsucon on Saturday that it licensed a third season of the Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunsō) television anime series. The anime adapts Mine Yoshizaki's popular comedy manga about frog-like aliens who come to invade Earth, but end up stranded on the planet — and protecting it from other threats. Funimation will begin releasing the new season this summer.
Funimation already ending "for now" in March. The anime has been running for seven years in Japan, and it spawned five feature films. Tokyopop published the manga in North America.
