NYAF to Hold Casshern's American Theatrical Premiere (Updated)

Free December 8 screening for all festival attendees
The New York Anime Festival (NYAF) has Yasuhiro Koshi will introduce the film before its 10:00 p.m. screening, which will be free to all attendees of the festival. The Independent Film Center will hold a second screening on December 9 for the general public.
Kiriya adapted the 1973 television series with extensive digital effects, similar to his music videos for pop music artist Yūsuke Iseya stars as Tetsuya, a soldier resurrected as a cyborg. Tetsuya must save humanity from the mutant army that it accidentally spawned.
Update: NYAF has informed ANN that it will present original Japanese version of the film — not the edited American DVD version (which is 20 minutes shorter).
