Japanese Box Office, February 6-7

Haruhi Suzumiya debuts at #6/7, Nodame Cantabile falls off charts

Evangelion: 2.0 You Can [Not] Advance's (Evangelion Shin Gekijōban: Ha's) 4.27-million-yen (US$47,700) average on 120 screens.

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger vs. Go-onger Ginmaku Bang!, a film featuring a crossover between two Super Sentai live-action special-effect series (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger and Engine Sentai Go-onger), fell from #5 to #6 (#7 on Rentrak Theatrical's chart) during its second weekend in the box office. The film earned US$846,164 on 140 screens for a total-to-date of US$2,945,035.

James Cameron's Avatar science-fiction action movie, which stayed at #1 for the seventh straight weekend, earned a weekend box office take of US$6,406,579 on 650 screens for a per-screen average of US$9,856.
