Hikaru Utada's Website Denies Report of Her Spring 2016 Return Plans

report that Utada's new album will release next spring is false. Okita added that Utada is continuing to work on the new album intermittently, but that it is not at a stage yet where they can reveal a release period. Okita noted that Utada's official homepage will reveal the release date in the future.
Additionally, Teruzane Utada, the 67-year-old music producer and father of Hikaru Utada, also Twitter on Wednesday that the report was "completely untrue."
Japanese newspaper Sports Hochi reported on Tuesday that Hikaru Utada would return to the entertainment business after a six-year hiatus with a new album next spring. According to Sports Hochi's sources, at least two of the songs in the new album would debut in April as theme songs for a major live-action television series and a news program.
Hikaru Utada had previously married sco Calliano, an Italian bartender, in 2014 and dealt with the death of her mother the year before.
