Virtual worlds recreate Laputa from Ghibli film
promoted virtual idol Hatsune Miku in a similar fashion.
In the press release regarding the announcement, TinierMe CEO Masaru Ohnogi stated that the company plans to bring more anime-related content in the future, while Funimation director of acquisitions and licensing Adam Zehner addressed Funimation's plans to "move aggressively into the digital space."
