Final Fantasy Event Done as Apparent Macross F Parody

The massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG) Final Fantasy XI is hosting an online event in an apparent parody of the Macross Frontier: Itsuwari no Utahime (Macross Frontier: The False Diva).
The tagline in the event's promotional campaign reads "Uta Nanka de Egao o Mamoreru Wake Nai Janai!!" or "Your wretched warbling won't save [their smiles of happiness] this time!" — similar to the first Macross Frontier film's tagline, "Uta de Ginga ga Sukueru Wake Nai Desho" or "Your singing will never save the galaxy."
"Fantastic Fraulein Mumor: Dark Designs of a Dubious Diva!" runs from August 2 to August 16. It is the fourth in the annual "Sunbreeze Festival" series that the MMORPG holds every August. Macross Frontier: Itsuwari no Utahime opened in Japan on November 21, 2009.
