One Piece Manga #63 Gets Record 3.9-Million Print Run

Latest of 7 record-breaking volumes; #61 & #62 had 3.8 million copies each

The Japanese publisher One Piece pirate manga — the latest of seven volume in the series to set a manga record for the most copies in its first printing. The volume is shipping on Thursday.

The previous volume, volume 62, sold at least 2,845,321 copies as of June 12.

All told, 240 million copies of the entire manga series have been had the highest number of copies printed of any Shueisha manga series in Japan.
