Print runs grow 7+ times larger after anime; 1st Jump Square manga to reach milestone
premiered this past April, the print runs for this manga's first printings have grown more than seven times larger.
Shortly after the anime was shipped with a 260,000-copy first printing. Due to bookstores reporting that they were selling out of earlier volumes, Shueisha decided to dramatically increase the print run for the seventh volume.
There were 1 million copies of the first five volumes of the manga before the anime, but there are now 7 million copies of the manga (including volume 7).
