Life-Size Gundam's 5-Week Build Shown in 6 Minutes

Statue largely complete at Tokyo's Odaiba island before grand opening on April 19

In a video posted on Monday, self-described "Gundam videographer" darwinfish compressed five weeks of construction on the 1/1-scale Gundam statue at Odaiba into six minutes of time-lapse footage. The videographer also posted a long shot of the statue from Yurikamome, the train that takes the scenic route to the artificial island. (The Gundam comes into view just below the Ferris wheel.)

The statue is being closed the following month.
