Seiseki-Sakuragaoka Station to use film's theme song to warn of arriving trains

The Keio Corporation railway company has announced that they and Tama City are collaborating in order to begin using a music box rendition of "Country Roads," the Studio Ghibli. Beginning on April 8, the song will be used to warn engers standing on the platform of the Keio line station that a train will be arriving soon.

In recent years, there has been an oft-noted increase in anime-related tourism efforts around Japan such as those at Yōko Honna, the voice of the film's main character, has been brought to Tama City's Vita Hall seven times to perform and speak.
