Keiji Inafune's Soul Sacrifice Unveiling Streamed in English

Enemy designs, gameplay, staff presentations from PS Vita game

Onimusha, Dead Rising) and other of the development staff unveiled new game content during a Thursday event at the Tokyo International Forum center.

The player in the game is a slave to a cruel magician. As the slave is about to be sacrificed, a mysterious "Golam Book" that is actually monster in disguise appears before the slave. It is unclear if this book will be an enemy or an ally. The game will allow for up to four-players in co-op play. In the world of the game, in order to use magic, a sacrifice must be offered. If correct compensation is not offered, magic s will lose their lives. The compensations range from simple items such as jewels to body parts. As magic s become more powerful, they lose their human appearance and will eventually turn into the monsters that inhabit the world.

Inafune, formerly of Wataru Hokoyama (Afrika) are in charge of the game's music.

Soul Sacrifice's first game trailer streamed on Thursday. The game is slated to ship this winter.
