Fate/Zero Anime Inspires Gilgamesh's Chess Set in Real Life

Bandai 's set includes board & gold Master, Servant, Holy Grail pieces

The Bandai retail website unveiled a chess set inspired by the chacter Fate/Zero television anime series. The website began accepting pre-orders on Thursday and plans to begin shipment in December.

The set includes 16 gold pieces: seven Servants, eight Masters, and the Holy Grail. The pieces are made of iron as well as ABS and PVC plastics, and they range in height from 40 to 110 millimeters (about 1.6 to 4.3 inches). The complete set also includes a chess board and costs 9,980 yen ($125).

The second season of the Fate/Zero anime series Fate/stay night visual novel software. The story is set a decade before Fate/stay night and reveals the 4th Holy Grail War that sets the stage for the war in the software.
