Hello Kitty Plush Cosplays as Evangelion Unit-01

The department store Hello Kitty merchandise, with their pre-orders for Evangelion Unit-01 Hello Kitty plushies and keychains. The plush will cost 2,100 yen ($24), and the keychain will cost 1,050 yen ($12). Both will begin shipping sometime in mid-March. Japanese phone strap online retailer Strap-ya has begun selling different Sanrio's Hello Kitty mascot herself dressed as Evangelion Unit-01, along with other designs of items and creatures from the series, including a Kitty-deformed version of an Angel. Both designs made out of poly carbonate, titled “Spear of Longinus” and “Second Apostle”, cost 1.980 yen (about $22).

Evangelion has done many collaborations with other companies, including tie-ins with eyedrops.
