Lisa, Homer Catch 'Peekemon' in The Simpsons' Pokémon Go Parody

The "Looking for Mr. Goodbart" episode of The Simpsons premiered on Fox on Sunday. In the episode, Bart develops a relationship with a retirement home resident named Phoebe. When she goes missing, he suspects she has gone into the woods to end her own life. Homer and Lisa assemble a group of people who play a thinly disguised version of Pokémon Go to help with the search for Phoebe. In the below episode preview, which Fox began streaming on Friday, shows Homer and Lisa venturing out to look for "Peekemon" and the old woman.

Lisa sings a parody of "Princess Mononoke.

The Simpsons has incorporated references to Japanese popular culture in the past. The show Death Note, Godzilla, and various popular anime.

The Pokémon Go app held a water festival event and released Shiny Magikarp and Shiny Gyarados in March.
