Japanese Netizens Choose Jump's Best Manga Artist

This summer's "retrospective on the many great manga that have jumped out of the magazine's pages and into readers' hearts over the last 50 years. The Goo Ranking website asked its readers to choose which Shonen Jump manga artist is the most skilled and while the website says such a barometer is easy to gauge, but art quality past a certain point, can be a matter of style preference.

Readers chose Tsugumi Ohba.

In second place is legendary Jaco the Galactic Patrolman and character designer for the Dragon Quest video game series. His characters are recognizable around the world.

Third place went to popular sports manga creator influence celebrities.
