Detective Conan 30th Anniversary Book is a Year and a Half in the Making

An anniversary book honoring Detective Conan creator Gōshō Aoyama took a year and a half to complete, in part because of the long list of colleagues that contributed to it. The book compiles congratulatory messages and illustrations by:

Aoyama himself is also offering new insights in the book. In a long-form interview, the manga artist discusses his career from its start in 1986 to now. Aoyama's editor also participated in a six-hour interview to discuss the entire creation process of Detective Conan. Fans can also get a behind-the-scenes look at Aoyama's work space and his favorite things down to his choice of stationery.

Shogakukan released the book on October 18 for 1,620 yen (US$14).
In August, Gōshō Aoyama's original Universal Studios Japan beginning in January.
