TOKIO Frontman, Guitarist Shigeru Joshima Announces Marriage

Shigeru Joshima, the frontman and guitarist for the rock band Risa Kikuchi were married on Friday.
The couple began dating several years ago and plan to submit their marriage registration soon. Joshima wrote on his fanclub website, "I have spent half my life as a member of TOKIO, and I've been working as a senior in the group. As a leader and to be proper man, I thought I should report [the marriage]." The couple lived separately but are now living together in Tokyo.
Joshima ed the Johnny & Associates talent agency in 1986 and made his CD debut with TOKIO in 1994. Over the course of his career he has garnered fans across generations. Kikuchi was first scouted by the entertainment industry whens he was just in junior high.
Just a day prior to the marriage announcement, Johnny & Associates issued a statement on its website on Friday that it has introduced new executive personnel. Following the Hideaki Takizawa (Tackey & Tsubasa) was appointed vice president. Fujishima's mother and Kitagawa's sister, 92-year-old Mary Y. Kitagawa was appointed chairman of the board.
