Pokemon Store to Open in NYC

Pokémon USA determined to keep Pokémon from Fading with the opening of a 13 000 square foot store in New York City.
Determined to keep the Pokémon flame bright, Pokémon U.S.A Inc., is opening a 13 000 square foot store in downtown New York.
The store, which opens November 16, 2001 at 10 Rockefeller Plaza (48th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue), will carry a large amount of exclusive merchandise only available at the store on it's website, Pokémon Center.com. 40% of the stores 2500 products will in fact be exclusive to the store.
The store will offer a vast array of sound and light shows and life-size robotic Pokémon characters in its windows. It will also have a gaming room, where consumers can try out the latest Pokémon games on both Nintendo's GameCube and Nintendo 64 platforms. The store will also feature an Ultra Pokedex, a giant-sized screen and control pad that enables s to obtain information about all 251 Pokémon characters.
