M. Alice "Marty" LeGrow's Tokyopop
The Rising Stars of Manga anthology, released in December 2003. Furthermore, LeGrow also received the opportunity to pitch a full length manga series to the TOKYOPOP editors.
LeGrow pitched a series called "Bizenghast" to the editors, and according to TOKYOPOP's Kristien Brada-Thompson, the editors "loved it." The first volume of Bizenghast is due to be published in 2005.
LeGrow is the second winner from the competition to receive a publishing deal, Peach Fuzz will become a TOKYOPOP manga series. Kristien Brada-Thompson is confident that more publishing deals with winners from the second contest will be announced in the future.
In the meantime, there are a little more than 2 weeks left until the deadline for submissions to TOKYOPOP's third Rising Stars of Manga competition.
