Area 88 Subliminal Controversy

The opening sequence of the new TV Asahi. According to the broadcast standard of the Japanese private broadcast union, the insertion of images that can not be perceived with the naked eye is not acceptable in broadcast media. Although the image remained on the screen for less than a second, Asahi claims that it was not subliminal in nature because it could be perceived by the naked eye. However, they have removed the image from the opening of subsequent episodes in order to avoid misunderstanding.
