Kuni ga Moeru suspended over its depiction of the Nanking Atrocities
The Japanese manga "Kuni ga Moeru" (Hiroshi Motomiya, is garnering protests for its depiction of the Nanking Atrocities. According to JapanTimes, in mid-September the comic used a photograph showing atrocities that cannot be accurately verified.
37 groups and over 200 individuals complained to Weekly Young Jump, and will be editing the manga when it is released in tankoubon/graphic novel format.
