Ghibli Airs Special on Totoro, Mononoke Scenery Artist

TV special to show real-life inspirations for Ghibli films' nature backdrops
The Japanese broadcaster Howl's Moving Castle, and most of Ghibli's works.
The special will also show the real-life Shirakamisanchi mountain locale that became the backdrop of Princess Mononoke, the mountain flower field that served as the model for Howl's Moving Castle's opening shot, and the real-life house in rural Genma Prefecture that inspired Satsuki and Mei's house in My Neighbor Totoro.
Oga and famed narrator exhibit from July 21 to September 30.
