Runners up for Kodansha Manga Contest Announced

Malaysian, British artists claim two runner-up awards in international competition
Japanese publishing giant Full Story) The competition received applications from artists in 11 countries.
The first runner-up or "second prize" award went to Nigiri Supahero, a sushi-themed superhero action tale by Liou Ming Law of the United Kingdom. The second award went to the fantasy manga Vefurrin by Hwei-Lin Lim of Malaysia. The winner of the Grand Prize, which was awarded to Rem and Bikkuri from the United States, was Morning two and will also receive $5000 US Dollars. The two second place winners will receive $2000 US Dollars each.
Kodansha has set up a webpage here that includes the list of winners, details about their work and a statement by the Eijiro Shimada, the Chief Judge of the contest.
