Tokyo International Film Festival Unveils Anime Lineup (Updated)

The Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) has announced the titles that will screen in its October 20-27 animecs TIFF program, which consists of premieres and feature showings of the latest anime projects from leading Japanese studios.

Several anime works such as Macross Plus Movie Edition had their world premieres or Tokyo premieres, complete with English subtitles, at the Tokyo International Fantastic Film Festival, a now defunct event once attached to TIFF. However, none of the screenings at animecs will include English subtitles. Showtimes and trailers for all of the animecs screenings are available on the animecs TIFF 2007 website.

Update: Production I.G has informed us that they will actually show the first 3 episodes of Ghost Hound, 75 minutes total running time, as part of the animecs TIFF program.
