The Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, the magazine's editorial staff asked the hospital for information on recent medical topics. The hospital then offered to formally consult on medical matters for the manga.
The story centers on a boy named Fuji TV's Ichi Liter no Namida (A Liter of Tears) drama series for medical accuracy.
