Clannad, Shuffle, D.C. II to Launch 3D Virtual World

The Japanese technology news source ITmedia reports that five companies will launch ai space, a 3D virtual world where s can interact with franchise will be recreated on its own virtual island.
Each s will be able to create his (or her) own avatar as well as select one bishōjo character as a personal character doll ("chara-doll"). The avatar and the chara-doll can then live together on one of the islands — complete with a house and furniture that they can buy. The chara-doll will be able to wear different costumes (based on in-game items), memorize various motions to act out, and dance. The developers claim that each chara-doll can develop a unique personality for each .
The different islands will be connected by a tentatively titled "Akihabara Island," where the different avatar/chara-doll pairs can gather for chatting and events. Dwango's Niwango subsidiary plans to incorporate the Nico Nico Anime Channel from the Please Teacher!) will perform the first theme song.
