Zatch Bell Creator Raiku Opts to Leave Shogakukan

Makoto Raiku discussing offers from many other publishers, magazines
Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, his "home" for seven years. He then wrote that he has been busy with email "from very many publishers, manga magazines, and game magazines" to discuss work in the week since that revelation.
While he was still in high school, Raiku debuted in the manga industry with his Bird Man title in Manga Garage in 1991. He then drew Newtown Heroes for the ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 2001 to 2007 and won the 48th Shogakukan Manga Prize in 2003. Konjiki no Gash!! has since been adapted into anime and games, as well as exported worldwide as Zatch Bell.
