Japanese Box Office, February 8-9 (Updated)

The second film in 20th Century Boys manga stayed at #1 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's Japanese box office chart during the February 7-8 weekend. According to Box Office Mojo, 20th Century Boys Part II: Saigo no Kibō earned the equivalent of US$3,908,428 on 374 screens in its second weekend for a gross-to-date of US$14,972,895.
Toei's latest live-action special-effects film, fell from #7 off the chart after two weeks.
Heaven's Door, the live-action directorial debut of Tekkonkinkreet), opened at #10 with US$450,843 on 142 screens.
