Manga Nominated for 2009 Eisner Awards

The 2009 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards of judges has announced its nominees for the best works in the comic book industry. Japanese manga titles garnered one nomination each for the Continuing Series, Publication for Kids, and Archival Collection–Comic Books categories. Five titles are vying to be the Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Japan. drew a Simpsons comic short that paid homage to anime in Bongo Comics' Free Comic Book Day issue this year.
