Gundam Creator Tomino to Receive Award at Locarno

Mobile Suit Gundam I, the first film in the theatrical trilogy adaptation of the original Gundam series, will be screened for the first time in Europe after the awards ceremony. Tomino will then participate in an onstage conversation on Tuesday.
Tomino's appearance marks the beginning of the festival's Manga Night. The festival will also screen Akira.
Tomino will next received the Honorific Leopard award.
