Foster's Home Wins Emmy over Afro Samurai: Resurrection

Destination Imagination, a television movie based on Afro Samurai: Resurrection television film. The awards were presented on Saturday in Los Angeles.
Art director receive a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on Afro Samurai: Resurrection. A jury determined the award recipients in the "Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation" category without a nomination process. Ikeda's Emmy is the first one ever awarded for work on a Japanese-animated production, and Afro Samurai: Resurrection is the first Japanese-animated project to even receive an Emmy nomination.
Afro Samurai: Resurrection, which is the animated television movie sequel to 2007's Takashi Okazaki's manga about an afro-haired samurai wandering across a futuristic yet feudal alternate-world Japan.
