Japanese Box Office, February 13-14: Haruhi Adds $567K

debuting at #6 during the February 6-7 weekend. The film had opened at #7 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box office chart of the top 10 films, but did not place on the chart in its second weekend.

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger vs. Go-onger Ginmaku Bang!, a live-action film featuring a crossover between Samurai Sentai Shinkenger and Engine Sentai Go-onger, fell from #6 (#7 on Rentrak Theatrical's chart) to #8 during its third weekend in the box office. The film did not place in the top 10 on Rentrak Theatrical's chart.
James Cameron's Avatar science-fiction action movie, which stayed at #1 for the eighth straight weekend, earned a weekend box office take of US$5,623,472 on 639 screens. That gives the film a per-screen average of US$8,800 and a total-to-date of US$121,621,223.
