In an August video shoot, Dunst sang and otaku shopping district. Murakami and MCG happened to have the same manager, and the manager brought the two together at the end of last year to discuss the collaboration.
This is not the first time that Dunst played a majokko (literally, magical girl or witch girl) — she said during an advance screening of Terminator Salvation that he likes Sailor Moon and other Japanese anime and movies, and he added, "I love Akihabara!"
