The Japan Society of New York's website has currently the Japan Society's "mangaka artist-in-residence." In the interview, Otsuka discussed his work as both a manga creator and artist and the difference between the two. He also discussed his childhood manga habits and the rigors of being a manga creator in Japan. Otsuka also discussed what he will do during his residency at the Japan Society. The Japan Society is hosting a live stream of Otsuka at work on an original manga this weekend.
