Studio 4°C, Tokyo Make 'Honey Tokyo' PR Anime Short (Updated)

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has unveiled its "Welcome to Tokyo" website with a "revealed last year, the government produced the anime to promote the city's sights to domestic and overseas tourists interested in Japanese animation. The anime short is available in Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, German, Italian, Spanish, and French. The website also hosts a map and quiz to find the sightseeing spots of the area.
Tomo Shigematsu played Takeru. A national government subsidy paid for the project's production budget of about 50 million yen ($550,000).
In a separate development, the Warner Mycal Cinemas Hanyu theater in Saitama Prefecture is showing the live-action "Washimiya Lucky Star manga and anime. In the short's story, a university student is producing a PR film about the town when he experiences his own coming-of-age story. Both local residents and anime fans appear in the film short.
