Susan Boyle Sings Welcome to the Space Show Theme

The anime is the first feature-length film from the R.O.D. Kamichu! anime series.
The science-fiction family film begins during the summer vacation of fifth grader Natsuki Ōyama, who just moved into the countryside. She and four of her schoolmates embark on an space-spanning adventure that takes them beyond the fields they call home.

Masunari told Eiga.com that he made the film for everyone in the world to see. While he was looking for the appropriate theme song, he came across "Who I Was Born to Be" on Boyle's debut album, I Dreamed a Dream. Boyle agreed to the film team's offer to collaborate.
The film will open in Japan on June 26, after a February screening (without the theme song) at the Berlin International Film Festival and June screenings at the Sydney Film Festival.
