Japanese Box Office, July 17-18

Arrietty opens at #1 with US$10 million; Oguri's Surely Someday also opens at #8

Surely Someday, the feature directorial debut of actor Shun Oguri, also opened at #9 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's chart (#8 on Box Office Mojo's chart). The live-action film took in US$581,671 on 186 screens.

franchise ran on 150 screens and added US$312,121 to its total of US$1,061,397.
