Hanasakeru Seishōnen Manga Gets Stage Adaptation

Hana-sakeru Seishonen will be adapted for the stage for the first time in Tokyo this September. The play, like the manga, revolves around a wealthy half-Japanese, half-American teenager named Kajika, her three suitors, and her childhood friend Lee-leng. All five characters and their friends and families find themselves caught up not only in romantic tangles but also in global politics.
An official website for the play has launched with dates, cast and staff lists. The play will run in Tokyo from September 29 to October 6. 22-year-old Disacode vocalist and model Akira will play Kajika. Rock Musical Bleach.
The original Hana-sakeru Seishonen manga ran in simulcasted the anime in the United States and Canada.
Other anime and manga titles to have stage adaptations running or said that a Code Geass stage production has been considered, but no formal announcement has been made.
