Dai Sato Hosts Five Numbers at NYC's Films for Hope Fest

Films for Hope, a charity film festival for those affected by the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) wrote. Sato plans to speak at a about his personal efforts to help those impacted by the quake as well as its potential effects on the animation industry.

The festival is curated by Justin Leach. He spent approximately three years in Japan working as a CG creator at Production I.G. He currently works at Blue Sky Studios as a rigging supervisor and is a member of Japan Society's U.S.-Japan Innovators Network.

Other films include Happy Bogeys 1-8 by Kunio Katō and the premiere of La Luna by Pixar Animation.

The festival is a t initiative of the Film Program and the U.S.-Japan Innovators Network. 50 percent of all proceeds will go to Japan Society's Earthquake Relief Fund. Tickets for each program are US$7-10 for Japan Society , students, and seniors. An all-day is US$24-34 for Japan Society , students & seniors.

The event takes place from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Japan Society in New York City.
