Japanese Box Office, April 14-15

Crayon Shin-chan film top box office list

film opened at No. 1 at the Japanese box office with an April 14-15 weekend gross of 620,457,284 yen ($7,672,280) on 351 screens.

The first film in Nanami Takahashi (Yoshitaka) as she struggles with her decade-long relationship with Motoharu Yano (Ikuta), her high school's most popular boy who has his own issues from his past. The film earned 101,994,538 yen (US$1,261,216) on 295 screens for a gross-to-date total of 2,095,443,677 yen (US$25,911,261).

Atsuko Tanaka. The film earned 47,892,427 yen (US$592,215) on 328 screens for a gross-to-date of 3,405,327,172 yen (US$42,108,658).

The Precure magical girl franchise. The film earned 32,998,599 yen (US$408,045) on 170 screens for a new total of 935,812,356 yen (US$11,571,811).

The live-action Ultraman Saga film fell from No. 9 to No. 12 during its fourth weekend. The film features the new character Ultraman Saga (voiced by AKB48 as the Earth Defense Force's "Team U." The film earned 25,894,897 yen (US$320,204) on 247 screens for a gross-to-date total of 494,924,885 yen (US$6,120,006).

The live-action film series, although Hatori herself is collaborating on the script. The film earned 2,129,145 yen (US$26,328) on 53 screens for a new total of 225,023,686 yen (US$2,782,536).

The live-action film Arakawa Under the Bridge manga dropped from No. 19 to No. 22 during its 11th weekend to earn 9,866 yen (US$122) on one screen for a new total of 270,732,381 yen (US$3,347,748).

The Strike Witches film is no longer listed.
