LA convention to show military spinoff anime on same day as Japanese premiere
The official website and new long promotional premiere in Japan. The website notes that the story is set in America (specifically, in Alaska) and the main character Yūya Bridges is a Japanese-American.
The original Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse novel is itself a spinoff of the 2006 visual novel software Muv-Luv Alternative from the adult game company Age. This side story follows the test pilots and mechanics in the United Nations Forces' Tactical Surface Fighter Testing Unit in Alaska.
Yūya Bridges (voiced by Mai Nakahara) is the head of development for the project from the Japanese Empire's side.
