Red Riding Hood Cha Cha Manga Returns as Monthly Series

Shōjo comedy of budding magician continues 12 years later in modern-day Tokyo

The July issue of Akazukin Cha Cha N) series will start in the next Cookie issue on June 26 — 12 years after she initially ended the story.

The original Red Riding Hood Cha Cha series ran in Shueisha's urara Academy in a magical land.

The manga inspired a loose 1994-1995 television anime adaptation in which Cha Cha could transform into a Magical Princess during the first year of episodes. (SMAP voiced Riiya.) A three-episode 1995-1996 original video anime project came after the television series.

Ayahana already two Red Riding Hood Cha Cha N one-shot manga last year. In those manga shorts, Cha Cha finds herself living in modern Tokyo. The full-fledged monthly Red Riding Hood Cha Cha N series will also be set in Tokyo.
