Shoko Conami to Resume Shikabane Cherry Manga

Manga creator announced in October that the manga would be going on hiatus while she recovered from illness.
Conami had been hospitalized three times in September and October. On September 3, she was hospitalized for extreme anemia. On September 5, she suffered a heart attack and was forced to undergo immediate surgery. Then on October 1, she had surgery to completely remove endometrial cancer (cancer in the uterus). She was then released from the hospital on October 10.
Conami Monthly Princess magazine last July. The romantic comedy tells the story of a girl who decides to take a large quantity of secret medicine after falling ill before an important date. Though the medicine is supposed to keep her cells fresh, she realizes that it has stopped her heart, making her into a zombie.
Conami shut down its North American publishing division in 2011.
