Miyazaki's The Wind Rises to Play in L.A. on November 8

1-week Oscar-qualifying run before wider release by Disney's Touchstone Pictures
Disney's announced on Sunday that Miyazaki is retiring from making feature films; The Wind Rises is Miyazaki's 11th and final feature film.
The story centers on Jirō Horikoshi (Ponyo).
The film debut at the 51st New York Film Festival between September 27 and October 13.
To qualify for consideration in the 86th Academy Awards, a feature film must play in a commercial movie theater in Los Angeles County for at least seven straight days by December 31, 2013.
