Ghibli's The Wind Rises Makes Oscar Short List for Best Score

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the 114 works on its short list for Best Original Score on Thursday. Composer Kaguya-hime no Monogatari (The Tale of Princess Kagaya).
Hisaishi was invited to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the Music category this year.
The Wind Rises was submitted for consideration in the Animated Feature Film category for the 86th Academy Awards to be held on March 2, 2014.
