Wandering Son Manga Named on ALA's Rainbow List for Children & Teens

Manga chosen for list of works with gay, lesbian, bisexual, transexual, & queer themes in 3rd straight year
The American Library Association's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Round Table (GLBTRT) selected chosen by the ALA's Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) division as one of the top 10 graphic novels for teens in 2012.
The story of Wandering Son centers around a feminine fifth-grade boy named Shūichi Nitori. On the first day at his new school, he is mistaken for his 6th-grade sister. He happens to sit next to Yoshino Takatsuki, a girl who wishes she was a boy. Both of them have secrets they cannot tell anyone.
Shimura releasing the manga in North America, and the company plans to publish the seventh hardcover volume in August.
The manga streamed the series as it aired.
Shimura will Jump X magazine on March 10.
