Anime Limited's Patema Inverted Kickstarter Reaches Goal on 1st Day

British distributor Sakasama no Patema) anime film reached its goal on Friday, the same day it went live. The campaign exceeded its goal to raise £16,000 ($26,898), and the funds raised total more than £18,000 (US$30,364) as of Friday night.

The company is planning a standard, collector's, and ultimate edition of the film on Blu-ray and DVD, with art book, postcards and other goods. The campaign page notes that some of the project's stretch goals will likely add content to the ultimate edition.

Anime Limited will ship the campaign's rewards to the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, , Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. The film opened in select theaters in the United Kingdom on Friday.
