Kōji Matsumoto Starts Next Higanjima Horror Manga Sequel

Series is inspiring a new live-action film, drama television series
This year's 38th issue of Kodansha's Higanjima: 48-Nichigo... (Nirvana Island: 48 Days Later...) sequel manga on Monday. The manga is the third in Matsumoto's horror manga series and takes place after civilization around the world has collapsed and is now dominated by blood-thirsty vampires. The frightened survivors live in hiding.
The original 33-volume Higanjima manga also released the film on home video in North America in 2011.
