Original Red Ranger Austin St. John in Talks to Return for Dino Charge

Power Rangers: Dino Charge will premiere on Nickelodeon next year

Actor Austin St. John (Power Ranger's Jason/Red Ranger) is in talks with Saban to return for the Power Rangers: Dino Charge television series. St. John made the announcement at the Original Rangers at the Power Morphicon 4 event in Pasadena, California. He did not say in what capacity he would appear in the series.

Power Rangers: Dino Charge will Toei's Jūden Sentai Kyōryūger special-effects television series.

Saban describes the story:

In Dino Charge, the Paragon Prisms were given to a dozen dinosaurs for safe keeping by an alien, but they were lost when asteroids hit the Earth and wiped out the dinos. Now in the present day, an intergalactic bounty hunter starts sniffing around Earth looking for the Prisms in order to harness their power and annihilate the world, so a team of Power Rangers forms to find the Prisms first and fight the bounty hunter and other threats with dino-powered swords, blasters, Zords and Megazords.

Saban is combining the Tensō Sentai Goseiger and Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger television series for Power Rangers Super Megaforce, a continuation of Power Rangers Megaforce. Power Rangers Megaforce ended last year, and Power Rangers Super Megaforce premiered in February.

Lionsgate will Roberto Orci is also g on as executive producer.
