Digimonstory Cybersleuth Gameplay Previewed in Video

Japanese video game news source Famitsu streamed a gameplay demonstration for the PlayStation Vita game Digimonstory Cybersleuth. Below are two segments, followed by the full two-hour presentation.
The game's story will Digimon and their other human allies, Arata Sanada and Nokia Shiromine.
The game's setting is based off of real-world locations in Tokyo, Japan, including the Nakano and Akihabara districts. Throughout the city, "digital shifts" are beginning to occur, in which parts of the town are turned into data. The protagonist must use the incidents that come to Kyōko Kuremi's detective office as clues in order to attempt to take back his/her physical body from the digital world. By scanning data from enemy Digimon and bringing that data to Digimon Re:Digitize's Mirei Mikagura, the player can make various Digimon into allies. Players can battle other players across the world by using online mode, or connect with local players through ad hoc mode.

The game will involve an active turn-based battle system featuring combo attacks using multiple Digimon along with unique specialty attacks. The main character will have the “Connect Jump” ability, a power he/she obtained during an accident which allows him/her to travel to and from the local server of the digital world. After diving into the network dungeon which normal s cannot access, the player is able to hack through dense security by collecting Digimon.
The game will ship in Japan on March 12. First copies of the game will come with five bonuses: The ability to obtain a black-colored Agumon and Gabumon within the game, two original custom themes for the PlayStation Vita console, a costume-wearing Agumon that matches the clothes of the player as well as helpful items, the ability to an extra mission early, and select sound data from composer Masafumi Takada.
